In another lesson, students first learn about Cheshire Cat decision making:
I go from here?" asked Alice.
"That depends on which way you're going," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat. (from Alice in Wonderland)
Then they learn about scientific decision making in terms of a 2x2 decision table that compares what is in reality vs what is concluded in an experiment.
Finally, students demonstrate they understand the concepts by dragging 8 pieces labled "power," "type I error," etc to the appropriate target cell of the decision table. The animation shows three pieces correctly placed, and also the final result.
